Ever since we started raising show pigs I knew I wasn’t going to be able to do it alone. I knew that I would need mentors, advisors, and people with much more experience and wisdom than I had to lean on throughout the process. Since then, I’ve been able to find people who have walked along side me and who have built into not only me, but my business. Before all else, I give all the glory and praise to Jesus, for without faith none of what we have accomplished would have been possible. He is the way, the truth, and the life, he is the lamp unto my feet, and through him all things are possible. I owe my family, Chaz, Melinda, and Nate Stoner a huge thanks for the support, time, and effort they have invested into myself and my operation. I also owe a huge amount of credit to my grandparents, Bruce and Mary Teets who were large scale commercial hog breeders in Ohio in the 1980’s and 1990’s. They have provided so much wisdom and have demonstrated management and critical thinking in ways I will never forget. Over the past few years I’ve had the fortune to build a relationship with the Perrys out of Monticello, Indiana. Travis has been an incredible inspiration, role model, mentor, resource, but most of all a friend and brother in Christ. In the summer of 2026 I had the opportunity to go on an internship with the Perry family. Kirstin, Travis, and Miss Bryson welcomed me into their home, made me a part of their family, and opened my eyes to a whole new side of the industry. They taught me more than I could have imagined and am eternally grateful for them believing in me since day one.
